I love this dress! I finished it around September, but it was definetely a challenge to do with limited pictures, etc. If you want, I can write everything I used, what patterns, how I altered it, etc. ^^; I just do not have pictures up yet.

That'd be great if you could write up what you did and your pattern alterations and such. This dress is so pretty! And definitely post pictures of yours once you get them online!

Sure thing! I will write it all up tonight and post it tomorrow, along with the patterns and fabric, etc. ^_^ I just need someone to help take pictures of me with my digital camera ^^; But if you want, I can take some pictures of the costume on the dress form?^_^

Hello all! I too am also making the Arwen bridge dress. For the pattern I am using Simplicity 9125, which seems to be the one that is best adapted for this particular dress. At the time I am keeping a little dress diary and taking pictures of my progress. I will post them up as soon as I can get myself a free weekend to work on my website, so I will keep you posted on that.
I have not started on the hair decoration yet, but I suppose I will be working primarily with wires and chains. I'll give you a heads up when I start on it, which won't be until I finish the gown.
As for the gown itself, I am handbeading the garment. I really don't know whether that was a mistake or not. So far I have finished the bodice and one half of a sleeve. Speaking of which, the sleeves are also of a different shape than the original gown, meaning that they are not rectangular, but more leaf-like in shape. I will post up the pics on the site as soon as I can and leave you guys to be the judge. As for now, I have to get on running to lab. College is a killer.
